Staffro´s respected 2002
debut solo album Influence is getting
a proper rerelease with the added Retro
Crates instrumental album featuring
previously unreleased instrumentals
from the archives, including the full
instrumentals to all of the songs featuring
emcees on the original Influence album.
The Influence album was the first producer
based hip hop album in Finland featuring
emcees from the U.S. in 2002.
The Influence was well received like
in Japan and Finland and abroad upon
its initial release in 2002, but now
trough remastering and proper album
cover art, the recording gets another
chance to make some noise.
The featured artists are Mikchek (Synoptic
Pressure / Shaman Work Records), B.I.
aka Trump (Shaman Work Records), Trice
and Mr Rictor aka Chris Craft (Shaman
Work Records, CEO).
Now with the Retro Crates bonus album,
DJ´s will get all the instrumentals
to the songs featuring emcees and a
bunch of previously unreleased instrumental
material from the archives.
The albums stay raw and true to the
classic boom bap sounds of sample based
hip hop and the sounds have been compared
